Since we began working with Beth and Mike on their pregnancy announcement session, then maternity photography session, then newborn photography session, we've been slowly building and adding to this beautiful baby photography plan love grouping for their family room wall. We have two spaces left in this 7-piece mixed media love grouping, just waiting for two perfect images from Kylie's 12-month baby photography plan session later this fall.

This grouping is a mix of canvas gallery wraps and prints on metal and is just stunning! While waiting the year for Kylie to turn one, Beth and Mike can still hang the current artwork in a slightly different configuration (below). I can't wait to see what Kylie is up to and how big she's gotten later this year!

Expecting a little one of your own?

And, so very many thanks to Beth for the amazing 5-star review she left of our maternity photography, newborn photography, and baby photography plan services on Google!

Haven't thought yet about what to do with your beautiful newborn photography once your session has been completed? The one thing you should NOT do is to put your priceless newborn photography out of sight and out of mind on a computer hard drive or thumb drive or CD. What a waste that would be! Instead, celebrate with our beautiful, heirloom-quality art products, and begin a photographic legacy to be passed down and cherished for generations.

In this post, we're spotlighting one of our newborn photography clients' favorite ways to enjoy their artwork: wall portrait love groupings.

New to wall portraits? A wall portrait is simply a physical art piece that by itself, or in a series, is large enough to fill a wall space. We can print your wall portraits on canvas, metal, or traditional photographic paper, and then custom-frame them or mount them for a frameless display. Group three or more wall portraits together and display them on a single wall, and you get what we call a "love grouping."

When considering love groupings, think of where you would hang your wall portraits. Areas of your home that you spend significant amounts of time in are ideal.

Our newborn photographer knows that there can be so many options in terms of size, layouts, and even where you hang them in your home, and that can be overwhelming. That's why we offer our newborn photography clients a complimentary home design consultation. Simply send us cell phone photos of your rooms, and we'll drag and drop your favorite newborn portraits onto your room photos. They'll be calibrated to scale, so that our newborn photographer can change wall portrait sizes, layouts, and frames before your very eyes so you can envision all the options and see what you like the best before making your final selections!

Pictured here is one of our favorite asymmetrical, frameless love groupings. With total dimensions of 56x42, this love grouping is perfect for hanging over a standard 55" long crib.

There is no bigger honor for a newborn photographer than having the privilege of photographing a family from the time there were only two to when there are three (and eventually more), and it has been this newborn photographer's privilege to have followed this young family from pregnancy announcement session to maternity photography session to, finally, Baby Kylie's newborn photography session!

"Thank you so much for coming on this journey with us! The pictures from start to finish have been amazing and will be in our family for generations." -- Beth, Baby Kylie's Mom, Gaithersburg, MD

In planning for Baby Kylie's newborn photography session, our brainstorming with Kylie's mom & dad brought us to three different themes in addition to the family portraits: a mermaid theme, a flower theme, and a fall theme. I do believe the mermaid theme ended up being my favorite, because, don't you agree that these mermaid newborn portraits could not be any more precious than they are!

Notice the ring in the second flower photograph below? That's Kylie with Grandma Anne's ring, which has been passed down from Kylie Anne's great-great grandmother to the first girl in each generation. "Grandma Anne would be so proud," said Kylie's mom.

Don't let your memories of your newborn baby's precious first breaths fade with time.

And, a heartfelt thank you to Kylie's mom for writing this awesome review of our pregnancy announcement photographymaternity photography and newborn photography services on Yelp a few days ago!
