For our third editorial photography assignment this year for the Phoenix Patriot Magazine, we found ourselves again in Washington DC, this time at the headquarters of the storied American Legion. The magazine had selected two health care coverage experts – Roscoe Butler and Gerardo Avila – to share their experience in the magazine’s fall 2014 issue with exiting servicemen on how to ensure continuing health care coverage. We had so much fun with this Washington DC editorial photography shoot – Roscoe (who seemed so serious on the phone beforehand) surprised us by keeping us laughing throughout while Gerardo was the serious one, and we received such a warm welcome from the Legion’s Media Marketing guru and fellow professional photographer, Marty Callaghan.
