“I work for a large international engineering firm, and sometimes they need my headshot, though I also want a headshot to use in my LinkedIn profile,” Michael said when we spoke on the phone. “I went through your Facebook page and then the corporate headshots/business portraits page of your website. I loved the photography I saw, and [on your website] you talked specifically about a lot of the things that I’m looking for. I was leaning towards a photographer in the Kentlands until I saw you! You seem like the perfect fit!”

As we delved deeper into what he envisioned for these corporate headshots, Michael confessed,

“I’m not camera-shy, but I’m not photogenic either. Even though I bought a $1,000 camera, I still can’t get good pictures of myself at home! I’m really looking for someone who understands lighting, postures, posing, and retouching… retouching in a way that isn’t glamour shots! … I need one headshot, but it seems silly to go through all of this and to walk away with just one. I wouldn’t mind having 2 professional headshots plus a third one that is more casual for Facebook.”

And so Michael appeared at our photography studio in Germantown-Clarksburg, Maryland, accompanied by his wife, and these are the three final corporate headshots/portraits that we came up with together.
