In a world where youth often takes center stage, I, as I approached the age of 50, found myself drawn to a different perspective – one that celebrates the beauty, wisdom, and resilience of women age 50 and beyond.

As a professional photographer, I embarked on a personal and professional journey to capture the essence of women in this age group, recognizing that their stories and experiences are as diverse and compelling as any other.

After completing the photography of each round of 50 women, we celebrate the women.

Breaking Stereotypes: Society often perpetuates the idea that beauty diminishes with age, but my experiences behind the lens have proven otherwise. By photographing women age 50+, I aim to challenge stereotypes and showcase the vibrant, multifaceted beauty that comes with maturity.

Celebrating Authenticity: There is a raw authenticity that emanates from women in their 50s and beyond. The lines on their faces tell stories of laughter, struggles, and triumphs. Through my photography, I seek to celebrate the beauty of authenticity, emphasizing that wrinkles and gray hair are badges of honor earned through a life well-lived.

Empowering Women: Photography has the power to empower, and my focus on women 50+ aims to do just that. By highlighting their strength, resilience, and confidence, I hope to inspire women of all ages to embrace their own journeys and take pride in every stage of life.

Diverse Narratives: Each woman I photograph brings a unique narrative to the frame. From career accomplishments to personal milestones, the stories behind these women are as diverse as the images themselves. By showcasing this diversity, I hope to broaden the conversation around aging and redefine societal expectations.

Redefined Beauty Standards: Mainstream media often promotes narrow beauty standards, leaving little room for representation of mature women. Through my photography, I aim to contribute to the ongoing movement of redefining beauty standards, promoting inclusivity, and showcasing the timeless allure that comes with age.
