We met in Salamanca, Spain during our study abroad program while attending St. John’s University in Queens, NY. It wasn’t quite love at first sight but we made a real connection once we got to know each other. Our journey has taken us from Salamanca, to Marrakesh, Rome, Venice, Florence, Pompeii, Paris, Amsterdam, and back to the states in which we spent a year apart while Erika finished her undergraduate studies. Our journey to our wedding day has been a roller coaster ride filled with smiles, laughter, crying, scary moments, but most of all wonderful loving memories which didn’t conclude on our wedding day but began a whole other chapter of adventures. — Juan

Juan & Erika celebrated their union in a reverent church ceremony at Mother Seton Parish in Germantown, Maryland and a beautiful summer wedding reception at Clarksburg’s Milton Ridge. With Juan growing up in Montgomery County and working as a Legislative Senior Aide for the Montgomery County Council, and with Erika now a school counselor for Montgomery County Public Schools, it was only fitting that they would spend this special day here as well.
