Eleven months had passed since I first met Ilia. The occasion then had been her DC newborn photography session, and I couldn’t believe how big she had become in just eleven months! How time flies! This time, the occasion was Ilia’s 1-yr children’s pictures and family photography. We went through a few different location options for these children’s pictures – Ilia’s mom had originally been contemplating an indoor studio photography session at our new photography studio in Germantown-Clarksburg, Maryland. Since the timing coincided with beautiful end-of-fall color in the trees, in the end, we decided to head out to the historic Manassas National Battlefield Park in Northern Virginia. Even the family dog joined us in the fun! Ilia’s mom brought along a big bunch of orange balloons that we tied to a basket for some of Ilia’s children’s pictures, along with a colorful tea set and play table that we set out amidst the park’s gorgeous tall blades of yellow grass. Beautiful!
