Suzanne is a hotshot Washington DC employment attorney with her own private practice and who also teaches law at Georgetown University in Washington, DC.  What began as the need for one or two professional headshots for a webinar she's teaching at Georgetown plus her law website turned into a full-blown personal brand photography session by the end, because she loved the resulting portraits so much. 

As always, on our first call, I asked Suzanne what brought her to my door, with all the other headshot photographers out there. 

"I'm a big review reader, and yours are all top notch, and I'm pro-female," she said.  "I had a headshot for my listing in the Bar Association of Montgomery County, MD directory, but that was more than 20 years ago.  I don't take pictures," she admitted.  "I'm a perfectionist and am self-critical about everything.  Photos of me must meet my stringent expectations," she continued.  "I see things in photos of myself that other people don't see.  My mom thinks that I always look good in photos, but I think she's insane!"

Well, I welcome people like Suzanne - there are a lot of you out there!  It's not your job to be photogenic.  It's my job to coach you and select the most flattering light, angles, and poses and to show you that you are in fact photogenic!  In fact, one of the most rewarding things about being a professional photographer is that over the years, I've discovered that I have this amazing superpower to make people feel great about how they look, so I love photographing people who normally don't like how they look in photos!

Anyway, Suzanne and my assistant and I met up in Park Potomac, MD for her personal brand photography session.  Suzanne looks so elegant and sophisticated in her personal brand photos!  I especially love her white suit.  She told me that she always wears white suits in court, because white symbolizes truth, and that she's known for her many white suits in addition to her legal prowess.  Enjoy some of my favorites from Suzanne's Potomac, MD personal brand photography session!
