Of course, I’d already seen Kate in her wedding gown as she and the girls were getting ready in the beautiful blue Presidential Suite at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center in Maryland. And yet, the moment the doors of the ballroom opened and Kate and her dad appeared at the top of the aisle, I think my heart just may have stopped a beat. And if mine stopped a beat, just imagine the leaps and bounds of Adam’s! Kate did make for a gorgeous bride in her lacy-topped Jenny Yoo wedding dress, and more-than-floor-length veil, from Love Couture Bridal in Potomac. A beautiful wedding ceremony for a fantastic, kind couple… And then… after weeks and weeks of rain, the sun came out and graced the wedding day, and we were able to go outside the conference center to Kate’s favorite “outdoor corner” for the formal wedding portraits. And the wedding reception? Ooohh… Just as gorgeous as the wedding ceremony! Purple uplighting decorated the walls and ceiling, complementing the gold venue lighting, and beautiful champagne and ivory florals by Edge Flowers dotted the tables.
