Of all the engagements I’ve photographed, Susan & Geoff’s light-hearted, mostly un-serious engagement portraits at Manassas National Battlefield Park in Virginia, are right up there at the top of the fun list. This self-described, down-to-earth and quirky yet classic couple told me at our wedding photography consultation that Geoff likes to ham it up for the camera, and they warned me that he might even look a bit insane! What their engagement portraits do look like is a combination of amusing & merry and sweetly romantic. They kept me laughing throughout our photography session! Some of my favorite moments? The fish faces during their picnic in the grass… the comedic expressions of complete and total admiration as they showed off their muscles… and the carefree romps and dips at the top of my favorite hill in the park.
