Who says that bare trees and dried-up leaves don’t make just as beautiful a family photography backdrop as when green? The R’s liked the idea of both studio family photography and outdoor family photography in their backyard forest, so we combined the two during their 1 1/2 hr, New Year’s Day DC family photography session in Germantown, Maryland! Mr. and Mrs. R were just back in the Washington DC area for a vacation from their expatriate home in Germany, and their sons, Robbie & Crosby were in for a visit with them. You can’t tell in these family portraits that the two boys had been partying all night just half a day earlier at a New Year’s Eve party on the Eastern Shore! (I’m told their girlfriends were advised to keep them in check and ready for next-day family photography!) Anyway, the R’s were a whole lot of fun. I enjoyed meeting and photographing all of you, and safe travels back to Germany!
