It was Angela, the daughter, who reached out to me.

“I was hoping to schedule a family shoot for my mom as a Mother’s Day gift. It would be for my mom, dad, me, and my brother. We like family photographers who are good at taking natural pictures and candids. This is a surprise for my mom, and she’d kill me if I brought her a family photographer who only takes posed photos. We want family photos of the four of us interacting, without forced smiles, as my brother’s forced smile is totally awkward!”

Angela went on to explain to me that her mom & dad just moved into a new house last year, and would definitely want to hang their family photos on the walls of their new home. Her mom is a gardener, so doing their family photos in a garden would be perfect!

And so, the following month, we headed out to beautiful Brookside Gardens near Silver Spring, Maryland, and this is a little share of what we got!

A few weeks later at their ordering appt, Mrs. W. chose 11 fav family photos for two wall portrait groupings – a 6-pc mixed media (canvas and metal) love grouping for the upstairs living room, and a 5-pc standout love grouping for the fireplace mantle. We’ll post some images of their love groupings soon!
