Congratulations to same-sex couples throughout the United States, who finally have the legal right to marry. We celebrate and wave the flag of marriage equality with you, and whether your love is old or new, we would be honored to document your gay wedding, so that you can relive this happiest of occasions 10 days, 10 months, and 10 years later! That said, we can only accept a handful of wedding photography commissions each year, and therefore, it's especially important to us that each and every wedding that we photograph be the perfect fit on all sides. Are you passionate about dramatic lighting and artistic wedding photography? Do our core values of artistry, quality, and customer service mean as much to you as they do to us? "She let us be ourselves and captured some really wonderful photos of us."
"I decided to have a professional photographer take photos of my partner as a surprise, and I searched for someone in the Germantown, MD area… Irene was very flexible in scheduling our first meeting with her at her photography studio… We did not have any idea what to specifically ask for, so Irene very kindly made some suggestions… Irene made us feel welcome and was curious and interested in understanding our personalities and likes/dislikes to get better acquainted with us before the actual photo shoot...
After scheduling the photography session, Irene followed up with us immediately on how to prepare by giving us ideas on what to and not to wear, and showed us how to take pictures of the walls inside our home so that she can transpose the photos she would take on some of the walls of our condo to get a better picture (ha ha) of how the photos may look when put up. I thought this was very neat and helpful in getting the most out of our photo session…
I also then explained to her that I decided to propose to my partner sometime during the photo shoot. Irene congratulated me and I confirmed with her a couple of possible locations and she was able to capture the proposal smoothly on film. Irene took additional time beyond the agreed upon one hour to make sure we were able to take photos at the last stop we were hoping to get to. This was very thoughtful and really showed us how excited she was for us and in capturing some really great photos through the end.
Irene was punctual and flexible (we had to delay our session for one day since it was raining the day of the photo shoot). This was easy to change and Irene accommodated our re-scheduling to help ensure that we have the best possible weather for the day of our photo session. After the photo session, she worked with us on a photo package, which was worth every penny! Irene has a very laid back, comforting approach with people and she made us feel very comfortable during every step of the way. She let us be ourselves and captured some really wonderful photos of us. We would highly recommend Irene to anyone looking for a friendly, professional, timely, and quality professional photographer.
