Life's rich tapestry is woven with threads of love, perseverance, and hope, each moment a vibrant hue in the grand design.  In this mosaic of experiences, the commemoration of adoption shines brightly, illuminating the path of families brought together by choice, not biology. As we embrace the profound beauty of adoption, one of the most poignant ways to commemorate this journey is through professional family portraits.

Featured in this post is the F. family at Walker Mill Skate Park near Upper Marlboro, MD.  The F’s two teenage children had been living with them for a year before the official adoption took place.  It was more heartwarming than words can express to witness the love that, through time and circumstance, had bound these four together, and so deeply touching to see the closeness of two teen and tween sisters, who had been through so much together. 

As a professional family photographer, it is to capture moments such as these that I yearn… to document through tangible art a period of time and celebration… to make memories so very priceless that families and future generations will cherish them forever... to make a difference.
