Mr. and Mrs. G had told me at their family photography planning & design meeting that their 5-year old son HATES to be photographed and always hides from the camera.  So I knew that my assistant and I would really have to focus on him and cajole him into cooperation. 

Sure enough, at the beginning of their studio family portraits at our Clarksburg photography studio, little G refused to come out of the bathroom.  When he finally emerged and we sat him down in the studio area, he cried and hid his face in his dad's chest.  But then, out came our talking stuffed animals (voiceovers courtesy of my awesome assistant) and both kids began to smile and laugh.  And that broke the ice!  From then on, we smoothly sailed through the family portrait session, emerging with a host of relaxed, personality-filled studio family portraits that this Northern Virginia family will cherish for generations to come!
