My name is Irene Abdou. There I am to the left, and below are my two beautiful babies. My (now ex-) husband and I adopted them in 2016, about 9 months after I had completed active cancer treatment. The road to recovery following treatment was hard and longer than expected, and these two beautiful furbabies helped to usher me out of hopelessness and back to full health.
I love these babies so very much. They are my pride and joy, my heart, my light. They both have had more medical scares than most, and each medical event reminds me of the importance of professional pet photography. It's a sad fact that our furbabies time with us is more limited, and as mine have entered their "senior" years, I think of this more and more frequently.
I'm fortunate to be a professional pet photographer - it's easy for me to create beautiful pet portraits of my own furbabies to honor our journey together. And I am so glad that I have the ability to do this for you too. It would truly be an honor.

Discovery Call & Booking
You will begin with a telephone consultation with Irene to learn about your desired style and goals for your pet photography session. By the end of the call, we'll know whether we're the right fit for each other and can proceed with booking your pet photography session!
Style & Concept Meeting
This is our time to really get to know each other and for Irene to meet you and your pets, brainstorm together, and fully plan out your pet photography session. Irene will help you select the ideal location and wardrobe (if you'll be in some of the photographs), and even take a look at the spaces in your home where you might like to hang one or more pet portraits. This is how we're sure to come out of your session with some amazing pieces of artwork that'll look fabulous hanging on your walls. We're all about making this entire process completely stress-free!
Pet Photography Session
We like to keep our pet photography sessions fun and relaxed. We'll guide you and your pets into poses and moments to help everyone look their very best in all your pet and family portraits.
Reveal & Ordering Appointment
This is the hardest part, but oh what excitement! You'll ooh and aah as your fabulous pet portraits are revealed, and Irene will be your interior designer, helping you pick the perfect frames and design the perfect groupings of pet and family portraits for your walls. We can't say it enough times - it's all about decorating your home with love!

"I first hired Irene Abdou to photograph my three horses and my dog. I gave her the challenging assignment of photographing the horses interacting naturally in their pasture, and she produced a gorgeous selection of shots of them running, grazing together, and rolling in the grass. She also produced beautiful shots of my dog and me cuddling together.
She then worked with me to select four clusters of photos to hang as wall canvasses in different rooms of my house -- each cluster focusing on one of the horses or my dog!
This month, I hired Irene again -- this time to do some dating photography for me. As a bonus, she also took more shots of me with my animals -- now three horses and two dogs -- and although the animals were in constant motion throughout the shoot, Irene produced some gorgeous photos from that part of the session as well. Once again, I was super impressed by both her planning skills and her artistic talent as a photographer!"
