So when should you choose the headshot & portrait mini-marathon instead of a custom headshot, branding or portrait session?

1) You have a smaller budget.

The special pricing for our headshot & portrait mini-marathons is... well... special! That's why we can only run this event a handful of times a year... and that's why you don't want to miss out on the last spot for June 28th!

2) You only need or want a handful of headshots or portraits.

Our mini-marathon is designed for individuals who want to walk away with 6 images or fewer. You could just walk away with 2 images, if that's all you have a desire for... though we also have had clients choose 30+ images from our mini-marathon sessions! It's up to you! However, if you do want 7 or more images, then our custom headshot, branding, or portrait photography session might be a better fit.

3) While time is NOT of an essence, your time is valuable, and you want a quick photography session with fast image delivery.

Because we only run the headshot & portrait mini-marathon special a handful of times a year, depending on timing, you might need to wait a few months for our next event date to come around. If that's the case, and you can't wait because you have an urgent need, then ask us about a custom photography session, so that we can work you into our schedule quickly.

So if time is NOT of an essence, and you want a quick photography session with rapid turnaround on image delivery, then our mini-marathon is for you! Everything gets done in a 2-hour period... complimentary hair styling & makeup artistry for women, photography session, and image selection all in just 2 hours!

4) You don't need to go outdoors or on-location for your photography session.

Our mini-marathons are in-studio only. That said, we do have environmental options in-studio for authentic, non-backdrop looks, which are essential for dating profile pictures. Plus, we've added an outdoor backdrop with trees and greenery that will be available for our June 28th headshot & portrait mini-marathon!

5) You're not looking for art prints & products.

Our headshot & portrait mini-marathon is designed for digital file delivery... perfect for professional uses and dating profiles. Of course, if you're interested in folio boxes, art prints, albums, or wall art, including painted portraits, we can still do that for you - it's just that a custom photography session will probably be a better fit for you if that's the case.

6) You're not looking for portraits with more than 1 individual in them (with exceptions below).

Our mini-marathons are for individuals only. That said, if you work with a partner (so there are two of you), then if you each book consecutive spots, then we can dedicate time from each of your individual sessions for team portraits. In addition, if you have a group of people, and each person books a spot, then we can do composite team portraits for you as well.

If you want family portraits, though, then a custom family photography session is the way to go!

7) You want very creative, unique, and out-of-the-box photos, or extra assistance in brainstorming about creative ideas or with wardrobe planning and styling.

We love creative! Depending on your vision, though creative, unique, and out-of-the-box might require more time and planning than we can offer through the headshot & portrait mini-marathon. Schedule a phone call with us, and we can see if a custom photography session might be a better fit.

And while we do help you with wardrobe and styling during our mini-sessions, we do a lot more of that with our custom photography sessions!
