I’d photographed B multiple times before, starting with her wedding some years ago. When we first started talking about a boudoir photography session, B told me about a movie that she and her husband had seen. She put a DVD in the DVD player and found a scene where two men were standing in front of a large piece of artwork hanging on the wall. It was a nude boudoir photo showing just a section of a woman’s body. I’d really love to have a photograph of myself similar to this one, B said. And over the next few weeks/months as we planned B’s boudoir photography session, B showed me photos that she liked on Pinterest, and I could see that B likes dramatic lighting. So here are a few individual and couple’s boudoir photos that I created of B and her husband in the luxury of an upscale hotel suite in Arlington, Virginia. A few weeks more, and a 24×36 canvas gallery wrap of the bellybutton image will be hanging over B’s bed!
