I know there are a TON of local family photographers out there, too many even to contact, so when Dee and I first spoke, I asked her what it was that made her decide to reach out to me for their family photography as opposed to all those other Vienna family photographers. This is what she said:

“I looked at your work, and I thought this could be really terrific.”

It had been 3 or 4 years since their last family photography session, and that was for their church directory. The professional photographer had set up a room in their church, and each family had its turn, but invariably, one person or the other in each of their family portraits didn’t look their very best, and there were very few images that Dee & Paul loved. After talking through a few different locations for their family photography, we settled on Manassas National Battlefield Park, a photography venue that I absolutely adore.
