“This multi-generational portrait photography session is to be a gift to my mom on her 60th birthday,” Aarthi said to me on her first phone call.  What an awesome gift.  What grandmother wouldn’t want beautiful, heirloom portraits of her children and grandchildren???!!!  Though extra cold weather on the photography date was too much for the grandparents and grandchildren to be comfortable outdoors, the Atrium at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens in Vienna, Virginia was the perfect indoor portrait location.  At their photo reveal, Aarthi’s mom chose a storyboard of images printed in a “floating gallery block” configuration – one block of wood floating off another.  Anyone else have a loved one who’s been asking for family portraits?
