Little Jayan was already 3 1/2 weeks new when his mom called us up to chat about in-home newborn photography in Potomac, Maryland.

“I’ve been doing lots of research on newborn photographers in the last few weeks. I’ve been going through a lot of newborn photographers’ websites and really like your portfolio, as well as that you also do other types of photography… Your newborn photography is so serene and humbling,” she said.

And so just four days later, I had the honor of meeting baby Jayan, so wide-eyed and sweet, at their home in Potomac, Maryland. Jayan’s grandparents on his mom’s side also came by so that we could get some family photography of them with little Jayan as well. Check out the front and back of Jayan’s baby announcement above. Jayan’s mom and dad also chose the first (left) and third images below for two 20×30 wall portraits mounted as standouts. Jayan’s mom is coming to pick up the baby announcements and artwork tomorrow, and I can’t wait for her to see how amazing everything looks! Congratulations to Jayan’s proud family!
