For this year's early fall family photography session, we met up at picturesque Sugarloaf Mountain in Dickerson, Maryland. The first 3/4 of our family photography session we spent on various groupings of family portraits. While Noah was pretty cranky at the beginning of the session, the bubble blower that we brought along for cases like this really turned him around. 

And for the last 1/4 of our session, we set up Noemi's birthday smash cake on a flat rock in the midst of a stand of grass and trees, and it made for the perfect backdrop for Noemi's cake smash! We started with the birthday girl, then added her mom, then Noah, then her dad, ending with just her and big brother. These are seriously the cutest outdoor cake smash photos ever, are they not?! Look how pleased she and Noah are to have completely and utterly smashed the cake to smithereens, with no evidence of a smash cake left except for colorful cake bits all over hair, faces, hands, and feet. I deem this family photography & cake smash session a giant success!
